3 firsts for Hazel

1. Hazel is smiling! It's still hard to get her to replicate it, and she'll only smile really big for me or Jake so far, but it's unmistakable. Some mostly unsuccessful attempts to take pictures of her smiling:





2. Hazel graduated from her bassinet to her crib! She's sleeping about 11 or 12 hours at night, with only one feeding in the middle, so it's just as easy for her to be a few feet away in her nursery rather than right next to us all night. This also means the cats & Nero are allowed back in the bedroom, since the cats are all too fat and/or stupid to possibly be able to jump into the crib.





3. Hazel's weight has reached double digits! As of Monday, she was 10 pounds even. She went from the 12th percentile at her 3-day visit, when she had lost some of her birth weight, up to the 20th percentile, then the 38th percentile, and now the 75th percentile! As the pediatrician said, she must have been smaller than she wanted to be when she was born, and she's more than making up for it now. See double chin:
